One more of my projects: 1981 Enduro ER 250, restored for a friend of mine in spring 2006. The bike was luckily complete and all plastics in perfect condition. Obviously the bike has nearly seen no dirt so that nothing was bend or irreparably used. Only the engine did not like road treatment, a heavy piston seizure had bend the con rod and the engine was completely stalled. In Ebay we could find a used Kramer engine which is now working in the bike.
As you can see some parts are still missing e.g. front mask and headlamp, hidden the electrics, but engine is running and you can drive without light. End of 2006/beginning 2007 the rest will be done to have the ER road legal in spring 2007.
This was the basis, abandoned restoration then 15 years in the barn. Powder coating was bleached, alloy parts dull, forks rusty, front axle fitting broken. Everything dirty and rusty, but complete.
The result is acceptable I would say.
